This screen-print was issued printed in 1997 and is similar in composition to an earlier oil painting from 1989 of the same title. Newcomb wrote 'When I stayed (in the South of France) I went with a friend to a ruined castle about Hyeres. At the very top was a hot dry arena and dozens of large swallowtail butterflies were zooming over our heads in constant motion'.
