This lithograph is related to painting of the same date (and also titled ‘Zapruder’) and to another lithograph, ‘Zapruder Black’, made at the same time with Ian Lawson. The flat colour plate of ‘Green’ was used for the printing of ‘Black’. There were also watercolours of this subject, in which Lancaster explores the simple division of the image. This group of works belongs to the early part of Lancaster's term as Artist-in-Residence at King's College, Cambridge.
