Summer Exhibition 2023, Pioneers

16 June - 14 July 2023
Overview

Our Summer Exhibition, 'Pioneers', celebrates the contributions of women to British art in the 20th Century

The show opens on Friday 16th June and runs until Friday 14th July, with the galleries open Monday to Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm, and outside of these times by appointment.

Open House Saturdays, 10 am to 6 pm, with drinks and nibbles on
17th June, 24th June, and 1st July

Within the exhibition, we are delighted to present a private collection of important works by Sandra Blow (1925-2006). These paintings were acquired directly from the Artist’s Estate sixteen years ago and some have not been seen in public since their inclusion in her Royal Academy Retrospective in 1994. Shown above is Blow's 'Oil Drawing' (1959) hanging in the gallery.

The exhibition coincides with the opening of Rope Yard, the gallery's cobbled courtyard. The yard incorporates Rope Studio, our exhibition and event space, and two properties available to rent later this year: Rope Loft, a one-bedroom apartment, and Rope Cottage, with one double and one twin bedroom.

We hope that you can make it to the gallery. Please contact us if you would like a price list of available works in the exhibition or any further details.
