Roger Large b. 1939

Biography

Roger Large is an abstract artist based in Somerset. He has held exhibitions at numerous galleries in England and in Europe including The Royal Academy and The Bruton Street Gallery, London.


His paintings are held in many public and private collections, these include BP and IBM.

He was born in Wallasey, Merseyside in  1939 and started painting during national service in the RAF. He attended Liverpool College of Art from 1960 - 1964 and the Royal College of Art from 1964 - 1967. He won the Life Painting Prize, Royal Academy in 1966 and the Landscape Prize, Royal College of Art in 1967.

His paintings are held in many public and private collections, these include BP and IBM.
