Frink’s lithographs and etchings drew on archetypes of strength, struggle and aggression. As with her male figures, her animal sculptures encapsulate the uneasy tension between predator and prey. Growing up in the Suffolk countryside meant that Elisabeth, or Lis as she was known, developed a love and fascination with the outdoors and nature.
