'Past and Present: Keith Purser and Ffiona Lewis'

12 - 24 November 2011
Overview

We were delighted to present the work of two such respected and established artists, exhibited together for the first time.

Keith Purser's paintings from 1995 to 2003 balance two very different approaches to the landscape: one essentially figurative and the other abstract. His work is as much about painting itself as the shifting weather and changing moods of the coast.

Ffiona Lewis' new body of oil panels is drawn from the delight in the social nature of the interior, the landscape, and all its observances. The paintings depict a miscellany of table spoils, picnic views, coastal walks and boat paraphernalia.
